This summer has been an exciting one for us here at Sky Inc, and as we reach its end, we want to look back on our favorite spots to hit right here in our hometown of Nashville, TN. We take pride in our city and state and want to share some of the best places you can visit whenever passing by! We hope this inspires you to travel this season and make some memories with friends or family! Check out these wonderful locations below!
The Nashville Zoo
The Nashville Zoo is a fantastic place to visit! Housing over 3,000 individual animals and representing around 350 species, it stands as the 9th largest zoo in the country. A great place to bring kids, offering camps, classes, overnight stays, and games! See all sorts of exotic animals not native to our area and learn the history of where they came from. There are even areas for petting and feeding! Pricing ranges from $16-$25 for adults, kids aged 2–12 save $4, and children under 2 get in free! Parking is also $8, or you can become a member and receive free parking as well as discounted guest passes! Definitely an interesting area to check out, especially for animal lovers!
Nashville Shores
If you’re looking for a great place to cool off and have some fun, the Nashville Shores has you covered! You’ll never get bored here in this fun waterpark with tons of activities to partake in, like waterslides and inflatable obstacle courses. To top it off, it’s located right next to the Percy Priest Lake. If you’re looking for more dry activities, you can check out Tree Adventure Park. This area of the park includes zip-lining, trails, Tarzan swings, and so much more! Lodging is available via cabins or personal RVs. We definitely recommend getting together a group of 15 or more for the discounted group tickets! Give them a visit and take advantage of this warm weather!
Cumberland Park
Last but not least, we recommend Cumberland Park! Another great place to go during those hot summer days. The park usually offers its Spray Grounds for refreshing fun in the heat. However, as of this season, the Spray Grounds are currently under construction. No threat, though, as the park offers so many more wonderful activities to partake in! There’s rock climbing, The Explorer Trail, and a huge amphitheater with a maximum capacity of 1,200 people holding a variety of outdoor events! With play areas, it’s a great place to bring the kids! Give it a visit for some fun outdoor experiences!
