As the summer months come to an end, our team here at Sky Inc are reminiscing on our favorite activities under the Nashville sun. From sporting events to exploring the Grand Ole Opry, our musical city always has things to offer. After spending a year in quarantine, our team was elated to discover what new and old affairs popped up the last few months. Continue reading if you’re new to the area, visiting, or a lifelong resident looking for new opportunities!

Wave Country

With the city reaching temperatures between 80–90 degrees, cooling off is an absolute must at Wave Country. Adult tickets are only $12, children $10, and under 2 are free; you can’t beat a day in this wave-action swimming pool! Whether you want to ride these waves or let them lap at your feet, come on in, the water is fine. If you’re over 48 inches, gain access to flume slides and speed slides located around the facility. There’s even a slide for the kiddos under the height minimum so that the entire family can have fun!

River Queen Voyages

If that end-of-the-day chlorine scent isn’t your style, consider renting a pontoon or kayak for a day on the river! If you have a group of up to 16 or less, sign up for a relaxing boat ride for an afternoon. Celebrate a special event, host a family get-together, or catch up with old friends. For the solo adventurers, kayaks are also available for one of their regular routes, or snag a ticket for a river scavenger hunt. Either way, become one with nature and try not to fall in!

Nashville Paintball Inc.

For the days you want to spend out of the water, sign up for a competitive game of paintball with your friends or coworkers! From beginner games to top-of-the-line rentals, there’s room for everyone. Just fifteen minutes east of downtown, you can come by yourself or with a group! All teams are divided equally, and players as young as ten can participate. The team here at Sky Inc loves to bring their competitive side to the field. According to insurance companies, all paintballs are non-toxic, and the game itself is considered safer than golf or tennis.

Discovery Center at Murfree Spring Wetland

For a more low-key summer day, plan a day at the Discovery Center! Here you can find the Murfree Spring Boardwalk that allows you access to 20 acres of natural wetlands. You can have a picnic, learn about nature, or get in your exercise for the day! When you’ve had enough of the summer heat, discover all kinds of learning activities inside the facility, from playrooms to farmer’s markets!

Here at Sky Inc, the sky is the limit when it comes to activities in Nashville! If we’re not on the clock, we’re exploring local events that only come around during the summer months. We consider ourselves experts on the subject with all the fun we’ve had this past season. Follow us on YouTube for pictures and videos of our summer fun by searching — Sky Inc.
