The most loving day of 2021 is coming up. Are you ready? Valentine’s Day this year is going to be unlike any you’ve experienced before, and unfortunately, not for a positive reason. The COVID-19 virus is continuing to wreak havoc here in the US, and many couples plan on spending their Valentine’s Day within the safe confines of their home. If this is your plan of action for February 14th, don’t resign yourself to a dull evening watching Netflix unless that’s your idea of a great evening! Today our team here at Sky Inc is sharing four ways that you can show your significant other how much you care while at home!

Before we start, we would like to note that there are many ways to celebrate this holiday, especially here in Nashville, outside of your home that are safe and within CDC guidelines, as detailed in this video we shared on YouTube. Today’s blog details ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day for those who choose to spend their holiday at home! No matter how you celebrate, you’re doing a great job if you are being smart, aware, and courteous of others.

Plan an indoor picnic

What says romance more than an intimate picnic for two? Make your partner feel special and loved by cooking their favorite meal and creating a cozy environment to enjoy it in; this will keep you at home but still gives you the feeling that you’re doing something different than the norm.

Have a spa night

Don’t feel safe spending your holiday at the spa? Then, bring the spa to your house! Turn on your essential oil diffuser, have two comfy robes at the ready, and have a plethora of self-care items prepared. Don’t worry; you won’t have to do anyone’s nails to make this a memorable Valentine’s Day. You can exchange messages and wear face masks while sipping champagne!

Cook dinner

For many, there is nothing that says I love you more than a home-cooked meal. If you’re stuck indoors on Valentine’s Day, you may as well spend your time wisely; in the kitchen, that is! Before the day of, place a grocery pick-up order and figure out how to cook your partner’s favorite foods! Then, on the big day, you can surprise them and spend your evening together cooking, eating, and falling a little more in love!

Cuddle by the fire

The past year has been long and challenging. The best way to show that you care may be to simply take a break. Turn off your phones, light a fire, and spend an evening cuddled up together reminiscing. After all, the holiday is about showcasing your love for one another, and that doesn’t require a fancy night out and an expensive gift!

That’s it, love birds! These are all the tips that we have for making your at-home Valentine’s Day one for the books. Remember, as long as you plan ahead and think of what would make your significant other happy, you can’t go wrong!

Our team here at Sky Inc hopes that you and yours have a loving Valentine’s Day!
