“A winner is somebody who goes out there every day and exhausts himself trying to get something accomplished.” — Joe Torre

Growth. That’s the word our Sky Inc team is focusing on in 2023. Our every action is centered around progress; this isn’t a New Year’s resolution we picked at the start of the year. It’s something we’ve been building up to. For example, when we welcomed Mark Dryer to our team this past October. From our first sit down with him, we knew that his driven mindset and eagerness to work hard were the combinations we needed in a new team member as we prepped for our best year yet.

At twenty-three years old, Mark grew up in Birmingham, AL, and attended The University of Alabama. Throughout his childhood, he dreamt of being a professional baseball player, which doesn’t surprise us in the least bit. Sky Inc tends to attract sports-minded individuals who value hard work and aren’t afraid to put in the hours to master a skill. With goals of being in our industry long-term, we are confident that his no-quit mentality is going to uplift and positively affect many individuals in the years to come. To commemorate his growth over the past few months, we sat down with Mark to gain a better understanding of his career goals and mindset.

What made you decide to work with us at Sky Inc?

The opportunity for growth!

There’s our favorite word again! Describe the growth you’ve earned so far.

I’ve noticed my career is starting to trend in the right direction in this business, and I’m excited to keep working hard to achieve my goals.

What’s been your favorite thing about our business so far?

That we work hard and still have fun outside of the office.

It’s important to have a healthy balance between work and play.

What are you looking forward to most this year?

I’m looking forward to watching my company grow.

Mark, we know that you are very team-oriented. Can you describe the values that are important to you in a teammate?

A value that is important to me in a teammate is someone who enjoys the camaraderie and spending time together as a unit.

As someone who enjoys watching others do well, we are eager to hear your advice for those just starting their career.

Always commit 100%. I would rather commit to the wrong thing 100% than commit to the right thing 75%.

You’re an expert at communication and do such a great job leading and coaching others, but how well do you take constructive criticism?

I support constructive criticism. I take it so I can better myself all around.

To grow your career, you must have a clear set of goals. What are you looking to achieve short-term and long term?

Short-term goal: Build a team around me. Long-term goal: Generational wealth.

What has been your greatest accomplishment to date?

I feel like my greatest accomplishment to date was probably giving a speech to my company for being one of the top reps in the country for January.

How do you measure your growth and success?

I just want to see steady improvements all around in order to hit my goals.

Mark, your extroverted, hardworking attitude has propelled you to success over the past few months, and we’re excited to witness how you continue to thrive this year. Our Sky Inc team is thankful for you and grateful for all you do!

“Commit 100% to the stuff that you want to achieve.”
