This Saturday, April 16th, marks the start of the 2022 NBA Playoffs! Our Sky Inc team is hooked on sports and will be glued to our screens throughout the upcoming weeks. On top of watching the greatest athletes of our time competing, we are excited to learn from these hardworking, motivated, never-give-up-minded individuals! Their unrelenting drive to be the best is inspiring, and we know that our whole team will be positively influenced by every athlete who walks on the court.
Now, to the question, we know all of you are wondering. Do we really believe that the Memphis Grizzlies will take the win at the NBA Finals? Absolutely! This team is coming into the Playoffs not as an underdog but as the number 2 seed for the Western Conference. They have had an exemplary year and will continue exceeding all expectations!
With the results they’ve been getting, we aren’t even slightly worried about them getting hung to dry in the first round. It’s in the second round where they are going to have to bring their best. The Warriors are a team that you don’t sleep on. With Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole playing at their best and Steph Curry returning, they’ll be a challenge to beat. However, the Grizzlies beat them in last year’s Play-In Tournament!
Who do we believe they’ll be facing in the semifinals? Our prediction is the Philadelphia 76ers! With NBA MVP candidate Joel Embiid and James Harden at the helm, they’ll be a team to watch throughout the Playoffs. Embiid closed out the regular season averaging 32.9 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 4.1 assists. He’s going to bring this level of athleticism, and the Grizzlies are going to have to work smart to come out on top!
What’s got us feeling so confident that the Memphis Grizzlies will be lifting the Larry O’Brien Trophy at the NBA Finals? 1: They have tasted success this season and won’t want to let their foot off the gas, and 2: Ja Morant. Morant has been a superstar all season, and although he suffered a knee injury, it’s looking like he will be fit to play come this weekend against the Minnesota Timberwolves. When asked about what he’ll do if Minnesota tries to get under his skin, he said, “You remember that quote I said? Ain’t ducking no smoke. We run up the chimney, simple as that. Ain’t no conversations about not letting nobody under your skin. If somebody comes towards you, can’t back down.”
The Memphis Grizzlies don’t plan on backing down, and throughout the 2022 NBA Playoffs, they can rest assured that our Sky Inc team will be cheering them on. It’s going to be an exciting next few weeks. With the NBA Finals starting on Thursday, June 2nd, and potentially ending on June 19th, seeing our Grizzlies lift that trophy high is going to be the best start of the summer season we’ve ever had!!
